Our Impact
Our holistic programming addresses multiple adolescent developmental needs–physical, mental, emotional, and social–through programming that centers adolescents’ interests.
We equip youth with the tools to develop confidence, self-love, leadership, entrepreneurship, communication, and team-building skills. Our culturally sensitive programming is delivered in a safe and empowering space by adults and peers with relatable lived experiences and similar cultural, socioeconomic, and generational backgrounds.
100% College Acceptance
In the 2022-2023 school year alone, all of our participating seniors graduated high school, with 100% earning college acceptance.
The majority of our graduates go on to pursue advanced degrees and meaningful employment, creating pathways for success and breaking cycles of systemic inequities.
200 Families Served
Over the past year, AP has reached significant milestones, serving over 200 youth and their families through our after-school and summer enrichment programs.
We also renewed a vital partnership with a Baltimore-area school, resuming in-school services to support some of our city's most vulnerable students as they continue recovering from the pandemic's impact.
500+ Graduates
Since its inception, AZIZA PE&CE has celebrated over 500 high school graduates, with 92% of alumni returning to serve as peer facilitators and mentors, strengthening our programs through lived experience and building a legacy of leadership and service.
1000 People In Support
In 2023, we proudly celebrated the 10th anniversary of STRUT at the prestigious Hippodrome Theatre, where 1,000 community members gathered to honor and uplift our youth, fostering unity and pride within the Baltimore community.
27 Perspectives
In 2023, we began hosting a "Community Conversations" events at our headquarters, bringing together 27 community members to engage in productive dialogues around social determinants of health, such as housing, education, social justice, and workforce development.
These conversations spark actionable insights into what makes a healthy community and strengthen our connection with the broader community.
Expansion On The Horizon
Recently, we expanded our reach to Raleigh, NC, introducing culturally responsive, trauma-informed programs to underserved Black girls and LGBTQ+ youth--becoming one of the first initiatives of its kind in the area.
This was started with a STRUT fashion show collaboration in Fall of 2024 in partnership with SAGE Girls.
