SCHOOL-BASED PROGRAMMING

AZIZA PE&CE partners with schools in Baltimore City and the Greater Maryland area to provide holistic, school-based programming that integrates mentorship and social-emotional learning. During in-school hours, we deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed interventions that support students' academic success, personal development, and overall well-being. Our programs are designed to enhance school climate, promote positive youth engagement, and equip students with the tools they need to thrive inside and outside the classroom.

ILLUMINATE AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM

We believe that learning should happen both in and outside the classroom. That’s why Illuminate is designed as an arts-based after-school and out-of-school program that nurtures creativity, emotional resilience, and personal growth.

Programming takes place at our headquarters and youth center in East Baltimore, providing a safe and supportive space for young people to explore their passions and build meaningful connections. In addition to creative enrichment, Illuminate includes academic instruction and tutoring, ensuring that students receive the educational support they need to succeed. We also incorporate mental health care provided by licensed behavioral health clinicians, giving youth access to emotional and psychological support.

Grounded in a culturally responsive, trauma-informed framework, Illuminate fosters confidence, resilience, and critical life skills that extend beyond the classroom—empowering young people to thrive in all areas of life. Through the arts, fashion, music, and entertainment, participants learn creative expression, self-discovery, collaboration, and community-building, equipping them with the tools to navigate their futures with confidence and purpose.

F.A.M.E. SUMMER INSTITUTE

The F.A.M.E. (Fashion/Fitness, Arts, Mentoring, and Education) Summer Program is a dynamic initiative that provides young people with hands-on experiences in creative and performing arts, leadership development, and career readiness.

Through hands-on workshops and mentorship from industry professionals, students develop skills and gain insight into potential career paths. In partnership with the Mayor’s Office of Employment Development YouthWorks Summer Initiative, we offer job and employment opportunities to youth, empowering them with essential workforce skills and real-world experience. F.A.M.E. ensures that students remain engaged, safe, and inspired during the summer months while preparing for future success.
